So, we had some serious problems with dudes/machines hacking our site and putting all kinds of crazy ads and hip-hop; you name it, on our site. We lost a fair amount of time's worth of updates in the clean-up, as you can see from the last date below. However, I can assure you that we are alive and well. Our first full-length album was just released a few weeks ago and Summerfest had us perform just a couple days ago.
Our CD, entitled: "Yeah, That's Right." was officially released on June 19th at a new all ages venue in Milwaukee called THE RING, where we shared the stage with Scott Morgan's Powertrane featuring special guest, Deniz Tek of Radio Birdman. Though the all ages show on a Thursday night didn't break attendance records, it was a great intimate setting to see these true heroes of Detroit Rock perform and do what they do best....melt faces with shredding guitar licks.
Anyway, things are looking good, people are digging the CD, and we look forward to seeing you at our coming shows this summer. See the venues page for listings.

Happy 4-20! So here's the deal: I got an email from Angela Foxx of Ironhead on Monday saying that the remainder of their national tour has been cancelled. Apparently, Johnny her husband, who plays bass in The Candy Snatchers and is the front man/ guitar player in Ironhead, has been put on bed rest in Seattle due to exhaustion, dehydration, and the flu. The rest of the crew is back in VA already. So, no show on Tuesday the 25th at Points East. ...Sucks, I know.

We have just been booked to play Roller Con '06 on Sunday, July 30th! The tentative plan is to fly into LA on Wednesday or Thursday, play a show there on Thursday night, the 27th, rent a car Friday morning, drive to Vegas, hang out and check the bands and the scene for a couple days, play Sunday at the Double Down for Roller Con, then bounce back to LA for the flight home Monday. So, if you or someone you know has a line on a gig in LA, or can help us get one, please email us. We'll be flying in with just our guitars, snare and cymbals, so if a cool bunch of LA dudes wanna do a show and let us gently pound the hell out of your gear, call me!! -DS

Yeah, I know this is pretty last-minute, but hell, I just found out myself. Paul Kneevers, organizer for the Artists United Against Imperialism shows / IRock Z's current producer, along with Trans Am Dan, will be doing a radio interview TODAY at 5:00 PM Central Time on WMSE 91.7 FM - Milwaukee in support of the coming event. Click the WMSE link to listen anywhere in the world.

We layed down drums and bass and started doing some guitar work on one of our new tunes called "00 Something" this past weekend at the University of Wisconsin - Oshkosh. We'll be heading back soon to finish and trying to book a show or two as long as we're in the area. So look for The IROCK Zs in your hood, kiddies. Oh, we're playing at a strip club on March 4th!

We would just like to thank all of those that came down to check us out at the Highbury Pub on Saturday night. If you weren't there, you missed seeing Russell post "Dangerzone". We were all feeling it from partying with (and post) The Sleepers at Points East Pub the night before, but Russell didn't go to bed until 4 PM on Saturday, the day of the gig. In fact, at noon that day he was heard asking someone if they were "coming to our show tomorrow?" They responded with, "Russell, your show is tonight." For all other things there's Mastercard, witnessing the Dangerzone: priceless.

IROCK Z has been invited to record at the state-of-the-art recording studios of the School of Recording Technology at the University of Wisconsin - Oshkosh. We'll see what we can do in a few hours on Feb. 25th....for free, baby!!!
01/27/06:
We're getting some good local press before our coming gig at the Highbury Pub on February 11th. Look for articles featuring IROCK Z in the Bay Viewer Newspaper and on OnMilwaukee.com during the second week of February. Tonight we rock Rat Town.

This past Monday, IROCK Z played live on WMSE 91.7 FM - Milwaukee for their annual Fall Membership Drive. It was a lot of fun for us and hopefully for the listeners as well. Not only did we receive a studio/board mix of the broadcast, but the nice folks down at WMSE fed us, and sent us on our way with some sweet, free schwag as well (i.e. stickers, buttons, CDs). As long as it's not V.D.; free stuff rules.
Yeah, yeah...the studio stuff is still in the mixing phase. When you get to work on it for an hour per month (or so it seems) you can't really get a whole lot accomplished. Maybe by Christmas? Next Christmas? I think by the time it's done, we'll be such a different band that we'll just throw this one out and start over! F*&K!
We're still accepting ideas for album titles though, so keep them coming.
We've been so busy lately, here at Camp IROCK Z, with shows, work, school, etc, we just need to take a break for a minute and gather ourselves. You won't be seeing us playing out for a month or two on account of our hectic personal lives and the need to write and rehearse. However, if there is a sweet show that you'd like to see us on, or a great national band that is coming through the near vicinity, let us know and we'll see what we can do. As always, feel free to chime in with witty commentary or bitch at us at: info@irockz.com.
